If i hear anymore conflict on this blog, i'm gonna make sure, my Batch run the camp instead of yours, i'll personally talk to Sir about it
Understood?

Word Of Caution
It's been awhile since i've posted up anything on this blog. Due to the exams, and me, having passed down already. I just wanna leave a word of caution to certain things that i find, is not appropriate and also needs to be changed.
I won't be so formal, but just bear with me alrights
1) Posting Up Any NCC Drill/Training Related Videos ( I don't mean those videos after training like mine)
-I know that some of you have posted up videos of when the cadets are doing their drills and maybe their IFC if you wanted too.
- Please don't post up those videos cause our drills are not very good and if Speicalist or cadets from other schools view those video, where can we put our face, if their drills are better.
-Think before you post up those kind of videos.
-I know that you might post up the video cause yout think one part of it is funny and you got nothing better to do...
YOU GUYS ARE SPECIALISTS! ACT THE WAY YOU ARE AND ALSO THE RANK THAT YOU DAWN ON EVERY TRAINING!
2)ChatBox
Ummm, Cadets, Specialist, Seniors, Sirs...ETC ETC.
Being the first administrator of this blog, i've told all fo you that the cahtbox is for questions and answers only.
-Not for REFLECTION, SILLY COMMENTS and what so ever. Yes, you may comment a little bit but please stop.
-Reflections are basically written or typed down and sent through e-mail...NOT on chatbox... so use your brain for once??
3) Training and The Hierachy
This i'll discuss in camp... USM, ASM, Exco Of NCC...
Get ready when i ask you questions bout this...
I Agree with alfred, this camp have to be serious... and also not so much fun in it. Its a promotional camp. Understand PROMOTIONAL...
Thats all i have to say
Thanks,
Good Luck to Bedok South NCC

Invitation to participate in YoReCa Nov 09 (Youth Resilience Camp)
The Ministry of Information, Communications and the Arts (MICA) is pleased
to invite nominations for the third Youth Resilience Camp - YoReCa. The
camp will be held during the November holidays for students aged 15
(Secondary 3s going onto Secondary 4 in 2010).
Aimed at nurturing/educating Singaporean youth on the need for resilience,
this exciting camp brings students through an intensive and varied
programme that:
a) examines issues such as threats faced by Singapore, our vulnerabilities
and building resilience at individual, societal and national levels; and
b) equips students with practical skills to help themselves and others in
emergency situations.
YoReCa provides students a rare opportunity to hear from the experts the
inside story of how our forces protect Singaporeans every day. It also
allows them the opportunity to see for themselves what it takes to build a
resilient Singapore. The lessons and skills learnt from this camp will be
invaluable to your students, equipping them for life with the ability to
help themselves and those around them. Our pre- and post-camp surveys have
indicated significant improvements in participants' individual preparedness
for crises. Student feedback on the camp has also been very positive; and
our most recent run of the camp in June was almost doubly over-subscribed.
The camp is facilitated by experienced trainers, and includes exclusive
visits to various government agencies. Students get the chance to
experience for themselves the need for preparedness and to fully appreciate
the different agencies' efforts in ensuring Singapore's safety. To ensure
that each student gets the most of the camp, we are limiting participation
to a maximum of 80 students.
The cost for each participant is estimated at $500, which MICA will pay
fully for this upcoming camp. However, in view of rising costs and reduced
budgets, we will have to charge schools a proportion of the costs (to be
determined) for future runs of this camp in 2010 and beyond.
It is unfortunate that some student participants from past camps had taken
this camp for granted and there were no-shows after confirmation and
last-minute withdrawals. Hence, we urge all schools and students to be
responsible and not to deprive another participant of the camp. Should a
student from your school withdraw at the last minute, or is absent without
a valid reason for the camp, we will ask the school to pay the full charges
incurred by MICA (both operating and any direct or indirect administrative
costs that may be incurred). We seek your understanding on this matter and
encourage your students not to miss the opportunity to participate in the
camp in Nov 09.
Your school is invited to nominate up to 10 students for YoReCa. A camp
programme (subject to change) and nomination form can be found at the links
below. Please note that the programme is strictly confidential, and not to
be shared with students.

confirmation of their participation. You may, however, wish to share the

Suggestion, Part B to have either light training (or games) on friday or non at all. this will depend on the performance or the overall conduct in Camp STEEL.
Part C, can either do basic admin on Friday or change their PDS training date to Friday itself.
reminder to all cadets, PLS BE IN YOUR BEST BEHAVIOUR WHETHER YOU ARE IN NCC UNIFORM OR NOT (that means, even in normal school uniform). It will reflect badly on NCC if cadets are not behaving well outside of CCA, for eg being punished for discipline, or playing a fool during National Anthem and Pledge Taking.
regards and looking forward to this Friday

Dry Run of Passing Out Parade On the 29/07/09
This Wednesday, which is on the 29th Of July, we would be having a dry run of the Passing Out Parade. I would want all of you to attend the Dry Run Rehearsal. It is important that you attend this Rehearsal so that on the actual day, none of you would act blur during the POP as i would be going through the Procedure.
Dry Run Rehearsal:
---> Procedure of the Parade
---> Where, how and what are you doing to do during the Parade
---> Drills given during the Parade
---> What to bring for the Parade
There. That is all i need to do this Wednesday.
It would start straight after assembly, put your bags at the scrabble corner and meet the Specialist at 1400hrs at foyer. You do no need to bring your full uniform(NO.4).
I know that all of us would be wearing our traditional clothing , don't worry, if you don't mind, you can attend the Dry Run wearing them. No drills would be conducted.
I want Kevin(Part B) & Arnold(Part C) to message me who are not coming and would the total strength be present on that day
Thanks,
Sergeant Major Aaron

NCC Routine Order(24/07/09)
This is the Routine Order for this Friday(24/07/09).Please bring the required items for training. Full No.4 Uniform, P.T Kit, Water bottle and most importantly THERMOMETER. IT IS CRUCIAL TO BRING YOUR THERMOMETER DURING TRAINING.
Every NCC Cadet is required to bring thermometer during this friday's training. Even if you are a Part C or a Specialist you still have to bring.
Please ensure that all of you are medically fit to attend training. If you're sick, i advice you not to attend training and go see a doctor. Live Today, Fight Another Day.
Please spread to your platoonmates about the information on this blog.
Part C, this training is your crucial training where we would gauge your performance and it will help us confirm what posting you would receive.
Thanks,

NCC Admin
Instructions from HQ NCC has already been released stating that ALL TRAININGS ARE CANCELLED TILL 09 SEPTEMBER. Please understand the current situation of HQ as they were given their instructions as well.
Senior Spec Course, WOULD MOST PROBABLY be later than September. So to the Part C, everyone still stand a chance at being the Top 5. For, Passing Out Parade, my suggestion is that the Official Passing Out Parade would be held during the annual NCC Promotional camp in December but Unofficially, the Part Cs have taken over, meaning all of you would start running the training once it starts. The specs would only come down maybe once or twice as we would be busy with our examinations.
Please make sure that all of your platoonmates are alerted of this instruction. If you have read this post, please message your platoonmates and ask them to spread around their part to ensure this message is being delivered.
I know that many of you all want training to start as it is very boring every Friday without training and the "tekaning" but take this time to relax from training but do brush up on your drills so that once you come back for training, the Specialist would not need to recap all of the drills and start teaching you all new ones.
Thanks,
Sergeant Major Aaron

Commendation on NDP Parade contingent from NCC
" Greetings
Sir,
1. You may want to drop a note commending the unit CO's on the resilience
of their Cadets.
2. After 7 rehearsals, NCC marching contingent is the only UG without
casualties.
3. A feat never done before. The real test is when we commence training at
Marina pontoon in mid June.
4. Kindly inform the CO's to constantly remind the Cadets to hydrate
themselves and have adequate sleep the day before the rehearsal.
5. For your kind dissemination.
6. Best regards.

Training Timings for Term 3
As you would have known, the seniors have requested training for the 1st 2 weeks of Term 3 be on a Wednesday as some of them have NCC Day Parade rehearsal on Fri. This is because it's still critical for them to evaluate the Part Cs to determine the next line-up.
Timing for 1st 2 Wed : 2:30 - 6pm
regards
LTA Shahid
To everyone
Please understand that the cancellation of the camp was unavoidable. If you're disappointed, it's ok if you're disappointed because you were so geared up towards the camp - this showed your commitment, passion and dedication to NCC, and the teachers are all proud of that.
However, if we feel mad and angry, do take the time to reflect... what are we really mad and angry at? Are we angry at the camp cancellation at the very last minute? Are we angry at the H1N1 flu for causing us all this 'unnecessary trouble'? Are we mad because we have shortened our whole family holiday just for the camp? Do we have any control over it? Who are we really angry at?
There will be times when situation beyond our control happens, due to natural causes. In our case, it may be this H1N1, in other countries, tsunami, earthquake, so on. Should we be angry if a tsunami spoiled our long awaited and planned for event? should we be disappointed when an earthquake disrupts our birthday party?
My dear cadets, let's view things in a fresh perspective. We may not have a choice when things beyond our control happen, but we can CHOOSE how we REACT and RESPOND to it. Continue to be positive and adapt to the situation.. this is part of the Art of Leadership that we are all learning.
warmest regards
LTA Shahid

To the Whole Unit
I know that everyone is hyped up for the camp, I was, and suddenly out of the blue it gets cancel. I understand that a lot of people is kinda mad and disappointed and that is why I want apologize.
For those who have cut short their holidays just for this camp, I would like to say sorry to both you and your family for making the sacrifice to come down for this camp.
I do not know how we're going to POP but the solution I have come up for now is that the POP ceremony would be held on the third week of July as I need more time to evaluate the potential of all the Part Cs to ensure i maximise their potential and choose the correct leaders.
Sorry once again for all inconveniece caused. I'm angry and disappointed myself but well we have no choice.
Thanks,
Sergeant Major Aaron

NCC Day & Part C Selections....
It was unfortunate that camp was cancel due to the H1N1 and I want to apologize to those who had cut short their holiday abroad just so they could attend the camp. Although it is disappointing, remember to attend training on the first week when school Re-opens.
NCC DAY,
NCC Day, is coming and I've yet to confirm the dates on when we're holding the cermony on. It would either be on the 1st of July(Wednesday) or 3rd of July(Friday). PLease check the blogs for updates..
Part C Selections,
To Part C,
Due to the unfortunate event of the camp being cancelled, it would be harder for me to select those potential ones to take over the Part D. You will be handling every training for now on, and we'll be observing al of you. First task, Plan the Routine Order(RO) for the 1st of July training. The NCC Day ceremony, I would do the planning
Thanks,
Sergeant Major Aaron
