The Gold award is just a 'virtual' award, at most it will be seen only on paper. It's not worth any money, nor any material value, but it will remain so valuable in the hearts of those who felt that they have put in their heart and soul into it.
Whether or not we deserve the Gold, let others speculate and argue amongst themselves, but whoever had strove hard and toiled with pure grit, sweat and determination together with us, we know that deep down, we just need to smile to ourselves and bask in the glory of the moment. We have nothing else to prove, nor have we anyone to prove to but ourselves.
I personally feel that no matter what level of contribution you have put in, be it from planning as Senior Specs or even just helping to carry chairs or wiping dry wet pull-up bars for the rest, all these things, big or small, had helped to shape BDS NCC into what it is now today. And for that I'm truly grateful.
Onwards to a better future.. and let's do well for the 30th Annv Speech Day Parade.
